Mission Statement:
Guided by the power of the Holy Spirit, we at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church experience God through Worship, Learning, Service, and Fellowship.
If you are interested in being a part of any of these please connect with our church office at office@felcwalworth.com or call (262)275-3445.
Fellowship and Service
At Faith Lutheran Church, we believe that our congregation members want to give back to the congregation. There are many opportunities for all aged congregation members to donate their talents to the church.
Altar Guild
The Altar Guild is a part of the Worship and Music Committee. It is their responsibility to care for the paraments and vestments used in worship. All members of the congregation can serve on the Altar Guild. Two people serve each month. They prepare the sanctuary for worship and are responsible for setting up and taking down the communion ware for Sunday morning and Wednesday evening services. The Chairs of the Altar Guild take the responsibility for decorating the sanctuary for special services and creating a changing environment for our worship services based on the church year.
Worship Assistants
Individuals assist the pastor in worship by reading scripture, leading printed prayer petitions and serving communion.
Communion Assistants
Communion assistants help the pastor administer the sacrament of Holy Communion to the congregation during worship.
Greeters
Each week individuals welcome members and visitors to Faith and into worship.
Counters
Each week two people count the offerings given, complete necessary forms and deposit the money to the bank.
Quilters
The quilters meet on Wednesdays at 9:45 am to create large quilts which are donated to Lutheran World Relief (LWR) and lap quilts which are given locally. You do not need experience in quilting or sewing to be able to assist in supporting this ministry!
